AUTHOR BIO : The author immigrated from Iceland to Winnipeg in 1886 and made his mark as a poet. He is anthologized in Walter Kirkonnell's Canadian Overtones and professor Richard Beck devotes two pages of critique of his poems in History of Icelandic Poets, 1950.
