Williams Collins and issued by Scripture Gift Mission, Eccleston Hall, Eccleston Street, London SW1. DATE: Stated in the Licence on reverse of title page as 'By the authority of His Majesty King Edward the Eighth, an edition of the Holy Bible in the new Ruby type. Vigesimo-quarto size to consist of 60 thousand copies.dated the thirtieth day of March 1936'. Printed in Great Britain. PRINT: 'Ruby 24 mo'. PAGES, with green tinged edges: 784 (Old Testament) + 240 (New Testament). CONDITION: Minor wear to the green cloth cover with gilt lettering on spine and blind stamped title on the front board. Some discolouration of the blank endpapers. Bright, clean unmarked interior. Label adhered to the front pastedown as shown in a photo, stating 'My Own Bible Scheme for Children to commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the Open Bible in England 1538 - 1938'. Tight binding. ILLUSTRATIONS: 4 Colour plates (2 at the front + 2 at the back). SIZE: 5.5" x 3.5" (2cm thick).
