Engraved frontis of Samuel Butler (by George Vertue). 16 very nice Hogarth plates (only 2 have even a spot of foxing). Original spines and leather boards but spines have split and the boards have separated, and the text is coming apart. However, there is very little foxing and most of the text is unusually clean.
