The first 188 pages are a history of the Exhibition and includes illustrations of the buildings, structures and grounds. The main part of this volume illustrates and describes the vast array of inventions made possible by the industrial revolution. These products, illustrated in great detail, include railroad trains, drilling & mining equipment, all manner of steam-powered engines including steam rollers and farm tractors and a wide variety of machinery, large and small as well as bridges and other structures.
