Large folding map (overall dimensions 71 x 106cm), composed of 4 joined sheets divided into 18 sections, dissected and backed onto linen, marbled endpapers, folding into original maroon cloth (25 x 18cm), gilt titles and publisher's blind stamp to upper cover, ink ownership inscription of Alan Sillitoe to endpaper. Map lightly soiled, binding slightly rubbed at extremities. Alan Sillitoe (1928 – 2010) was an English writer, best known for his two early novels "The Loneliness of the Long Distant Runner" and "Saturday Night and Sunday Morning".
