Spine, raised bands, gilt titles to red calf label, date at base. Internally, engraved title page, not paginated [374], signatures: [2], A3-Z11, 62 maps (of 63, with 1 folding, lacking map No 1, Gt Britain), map No 38 with old repair to fore edge & small gutter corner loss, some edges shaved, modern old endpapers. (155*95 mm). (ESTC S996 . STC (2nd ed.) 23036.5. Skelton 17). The Miniature Speed, with maps by Pieter van den Keere. Although the title page states 1627, ESTC suspects 1646? (it has the behoue at A2v line 14), an abridgment of: The Theatre of the Empire of Great Britain. Speed, historian and cartographer.
