CONDITION: Very Good with jacket remnant; no names or other marks, tight, straight, corners and bottom spine quite rubbed, recent triangular chip to card on top corner 0.3x0.5", board illustration including spine very clean and unrubbed, pages clean, white, and unwrinkled; the jacket is in pieces, not all there, but the design is interesting as an early example. Picture Book Hardback A series of pleasant stories, the first being of the five children who loved to play on the lawn. A line drawing or a nice quality house etching illustrates each story. None of these illustrations are like the cover picture, however, which seems to capture these long ago children at a moment in time and plays with perspective in quite a modern way.
