Lilith Fugueing: A Poem
A very good copy with slight rubbing to covers (leather over boards; chiefly to edges and corners); slight bumping to corners; slight wrinkling to few leaves at foredges and lower edges; slight internal browning to edges and endpapers. pages + plates (unpaginated). With its letterpress text, calf & marbled boards binding, and Surrealistic drawings (by the poet's son; reminiscent of Dali), this work is years ahead of its time in style (more analogous to English (UK) fine press publications of the 1970's and 1980's). One of an unspecified number of copies, printed in June, 1946, at the Mercury Printing Company, Los Angeles; bound in half dark brown calf over light brown/tan marbled boards, gilt-stamped upper cover (midsection, at spine edge), plain endpapers, deckle-edged foredges and lower edges (untrimmed). Scarce in any condition. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. N° de réf. du libraire L018316
