One of the world's most abiding monster mysteries is that of Loch Ness. The first recorded sighting of "Nessie" is found in Latin, compiled by monks in about 560AD. Sightings followed irregularly until the 1930s, when there was an increased number and these have have continued since. This book was first published in 1961 with a second impression 1966 and this third two years later. Dinsdale's book followed his immensely popular Nessie BBC TVdocumentary and they are based on his objective analysis of sightings and his own observations of the Monster. Whether legend or fact the story he tells is well worth the reading. Published in association with the Loch Ness Phenomena Investigation Bureau. 259 pages including index, 18 b/w photo section, sketches, drawings, maps throughout. Blue hard covers with silver spine titles VG with light bruising spine extremities, Nessie news clipping pasted front pastedow, one on a RFEP, plus 2 on rear pastedown, ink gift inscription top FFEP (from Inverness resident), text block otherwise excellent. Wrapround art DJ G+ with few small chips, jacket secured to both boards with tape. N° de réf. du vendeur 002499
