In this edition the plates are in four printings; one on Japanese Vellum, remarque; one on Japanese etching-paper; one on papier de chine, mounted on plate paper; and one on whatman drawing-paper, finished with water colors. Bound by Barrie in full green leather, five raised bands, gilt decorations and lettering on the spine, gilt ruling and floral decorations on the cover, all edges heavy gilt, free endpaper is silk, backfront cover and backback cover are full leather heavily decorated with gilt ebbellishments and cut in leather. These 2 volumes are really beautiful. 19 etchings with four full page illustrations to each one. 8vo, 5 1/2" x 8 1/4", vol. I is 249pp., Vol. II is 317pp. Handsome unusual set. Picture.
