Description du livre Matthews-Northrup Works, Buffalo ; Cleveland, Etc, 1914. Leather. État : Very Good. 53, p. : front. (port.) ; 28 x 13 cm. "Includes address by Rev. George Morgan Ward (p. 3-21). Henry M. Flagler memorial service -- Comments of the public press." In would be hard to overstate the influence Flagler expressed on the Atlantic coast of Florida. He was chiefly responsible for pushing the railroad down the coast and led to the development of Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Daytona Beach, Miami and other communities which had been quite isolated from the rest of the U.S. prior to that time. St. Augustine has a college and an impressive hotel (now a museum) named for him. The full leather is a bit worn at the spine, but still a handsome volume in embossed leather.
