Militaris includes woodcut views of Constantinople, Jerusalem, Damascus, and Tyre, as well as maps of Cyprus, Malta, Greece, the Levant, Egypt, among others. Henrico Pantaleone (1522-1595) was a scholar, humanist, doctor and historian. At the University of Basileia he was a professor of physics, history, theology, and languages., Size : Small folio (311x200mm)., Woodcut printer's device on title, woodcut illustrations throughout, including fine maps, views and portraits .
