"Translated from the German of Richard Voss by Gustav Adolf Danziger and adapted by Ambrose Bierce" (title page); introduction by Maurice Valency, plus Bierce's preface (dated November 29, 1906). One of 1500 numbered copies (the entire edition; this is number 586), designed by Glenn Foss and printed at the Tri-Arts Press; signed by Ciry in red ink on limitation page. Relevant number of the Limited Editions Club's Monthly Letter (Number 397, February 1967) present.
