With 50 "class charts" detailing every locomotive type plus rosters of steam, diesel and electric motive locomotives. First Printing Near fine in yellow spotted, heavy, green cloth covered boards with bold gilt text stamping on the spine. A small quarto of 11 by 8 1/2 inches with a slight lean to the spine and unknown yellow spots to both boards. In a very good+ unclipped dust jacket with three short closed tears at the upper edge of the spine area and a 1" by 2" abrasion of the colors on the front panel of the jacket and rubbing to the fold to the front flap. 592 pages of text and photographs followed by 16 color paintings of railway engines through the ages. Illustrated with 1,364 black and white photographs, maps throughout detailing the rail equipment, trolleys, busses and steamships owned by the New Haven and Hartford Railroad in their quest to monopolize transportation in the lower New England states.
