Boards are slightly rubbed, otherwise near fine. Binding tight. Authors name and address written to recto of free endpaper (ostensibly by owner, not the author himself). Author's inscription to Dr. Patrick D Hazard on recto of half-title page. Rice paper-protected title page. A type-written letter from the previous owner to a Ms. Matsuke is laid in. All pages clean and unmarked. Photographs of Nagasaki in b&w w/ text in Swedish. Very scarce in any condition. Shipping for this title may be more due to its weight and size. Description de la librairie : I, the Andalusia Bookman, have a stock of over 100,000 covering a wide range of items specializing in 19th and 18th c. illustrated books, chromolithos, Philadelphiana, rare anthropology, early hermeneutics, Natural history, first editions and signed items, Beat lit, '60's material, unusual occult, erotica and esoterica. This is my personal collection from which I am de-accessing most everything, including a vast amount of ephemera, art work (steel engravings, pouchoir, collotype), movie posters (of the 1940's - 50's) and a mass of important 19th c. bound periodicals (Oology to Archeology, Mathematics, Botany, Knitting), and 20th c. Art journals, Italian Fascist publications, etc., culled from Walter J. Johnson's liquidation, as well as a collection rare jazz records, including 100's of Boogie Woogie and BeBop '78s, And much more, just ask. I was previously established as The Book Merchants, the Philadelphia's Riverside Book Fair and 30th Street Station Book Fair.
