Author Bio: This author came to Canada in the 1880s, where he edited the pivotal Icelandic-Canadian newspaper, Logberg. He took a leading role in Icelandic-Canadian community and political affairs. In 1891 he was selected President of the Icelandic Liberal Association of Manitoba (e.g., see Kristjanson). He returned to Iceland about 1895, after a ten year residency in Canada (Kristjanson, page 332). He was a celebrated author in Canada and in his homeland of Iceland.
