Paperback binding with red coloured background and white decoration and black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. A novel put out by Miles Franklin incorporating not only a story but poetry as well. 1st published 1932. This book is part of Australian Pocket Library series. Creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the book edges and panels. Sunning of the back strip and of the rear panel which also shows the occasional foxing spot. The top quarter inch of the back strip is missing and there is some chipping to the lower back strip edge - please see photograph. As is usual with this series quite marked tanning of the textbook edges and pages. Previous owners name to the top edge of the half title page with really heavy foxing to the top text block edge and a little foxing to the pages. Size: 12mo (standard paperback).
