The Antwerp bookbinder Hugo Puylaert was one of the finest craftsman of his generation. In 1944 he acquired the tools and the equipment of that other famous Antwerp binder Laurent Peeters. Puylaert is also known for the exquisite use he made of marbled paper , often gilt sprinkled. This binding offers a fine example of that art. N° de réf. du libraire 38809
