This is the stated First Edition, published by Knopf in 1971, of "The Palm at the End of the Mind" (398 numbered pages, plus notes and index), Selected Poems and a Play by Wallace Stevens, edited by Holly Stevens. The dyed top edges have light stains. The outside and bottom edges have none. The page faces are clean throughout the book, with no stains or scuffs, and no fade to the lettering, which is fine, beginning to end. There are no page tears or creases. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages. The accompanying photos are accurate reflections of the book conditions.
