Synopsis : Christopher Herold takes us on a haiku path where we see the love that goes into shaping a garden. Then he takes us out beyond the walls and shows us where the inspiration for gardens has come from: the forests, the mountains and rivers. Join him on the path where you'll sense that time is stopping, again and again, so that you can observe the world more closely. Lovely watercolor illustrations by Ruth Yarrow.

He was a student of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi and one of the earliest practitioners at the Tassajara Zen Center. His first book, In Other Words, was published by Jarus Books in 1981 and his second collection, Coincidence, appeared in 1987. Mr. Herold's haiku, gleaned from thirty years of writing, have received national and international awards.

Description de la librairie : The Reader's Corner is such fun,it's too bad you have to buy our books on line. We have eight foot tall outside bookshelves across the entire front of the store. There is a money slot in the door for night sales, which go to support National Public Radio. Inside, which can be too crowded at times, are surprisingly good books, only 1% are ever listed on-line. We also sell records, music cd's, comic books, mags, computer software and games. Best of all is the found art decorating every spare spot. The motto on the front door: NO SHOOTING, NO SMOKING, NO MOONING THE MANAGEMENT.
