Description :

CONDITION: Very Good without jacket; child's neat name, cover clean and bright with extrems lightly bumped and rubbed, interior nice (jacket price 1.95 in 11/1943, Desert Magazine.) Picture Book Hardback small A scarce and highly original little book, set in the New Mexican desert and beautifully designed on laid paper by Helen Gentry. Probably the only children's book of the author, a some-time resident of Santa Fe. . Unbeknowst to his mistress, the little plush rabbit is dumped in the desert. There Pinky meets a droll group of cast out toys, and he uses what he finds to make homes for them, wherever their adventurous spirits may land. "Up on a buzzard/down in a mine/when we're together/everything's fine." ABE Heritage Seller since 1996; conservative AB condition grading. We ship all our books in cardboard protection.
