He is author of Social Theory and Psychoanalysis in Transition (2nd edition, 1999) also published by Free Association Books and of Freud 2000 (1998). Charles Spezzano is a psychoanalyst in private practice at The Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California, San Francisco. Among is previous books are Affect in Psychoanalysis (1993).
