Octavo, pp. [i-iv] v [vi] 7-319 [320: printer's imprint], inserted frontispiece with illustration in color by Cyrus Cuneo, original red cloth, front panel stamped in gold and ruled in blind, spine panel stamped in gold, publisher's monogram stamped in blind on rear panel, bottom edge untrimmed. First British edition. 18,600 copies printed of which this is one of 7600 domestic copies with the Nash imprint. Published 10 September 1910, two days after the U.S. edition. "African lost race adventure novel of the finding of a race descended from ancient Abyssinian Jews and others who are surrounded in their mountain fastness of Mur, by a hostile half-negroid people called the Fung." - Locke, A Spectrum of Fantasy, p. 101.
