Koenig, an avid book collector and bibliophile, assembled a collection of more than 1500 books and bound volumes of magazines, the core of which was fantasy Literature. Koenig's regular column "Of Books and Things" is largely devoted to commentary on and reviews of old fantasy fiction, Webb's THE MUMMY, Butler's EREWHON, Prevot's GHOSTIES AND GHOULIES, and more. The last four issues serialize "Modern Mythological Fiction," a long, informative essay by Ensign Butman. The final issue, October 1946, includes an article on William Hope Hodgson by John Wilstach and responses to Butman's essay by Fritz Leiber, Jr. (3 pages) and Duane W. Rimel (2 pages).
