A propos de cet article

X, 582 pages, plates, cloth, DJ, very good. From Wikipedia: "Earl Henry "Red" Blaik (February 15, 1897 – May 6, 1989) was an American football player, coach, college athletics administrator, and United States Army officer. He served as the head football coach at Dartmouth College from 1934 to 1940 and at the United States Military Academy from 1941 to 1958, compiling a career college football record of 166–48–14. His Army football teams won three consecutive national championships in 1944, 1945 and 1946. Blaik was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1964." From the DJ: "Red Blaik treats us to a rare picture of his friend Douglas MacArthur, new revelations about the latter's conflict with Truman, and the story of Blaik's role in MacArthur's abortive bid for the Presidency in 1952. Enjoying good relations with John and Robert Kennedy, Blaik served as peacemaker, again behind the scenes, in the troubled South of the early 60s. His revelations about Martin Luther King may stir controversy. Part One of this autobiography was published in 1960 but has long been out of print. Part Two is new with this volume. ; 582 pages.
