Children's Foreign Language French Three stories: Rosalba, a story of an unforgettable birthday party for good little girls, Joseph the Savoyard, who learns to play the violin from the local curé and goes to Paris to seek his fortune and Pataud, a grateful dog, rescued from drowning, who serves his master for the rest of his life. Each page is a different elaborate and delicate silhouette picture with the text superimposed. Chéri Hérouard(1881 - 1961) was a French book and magazine illustrator who was most famously known for forty-five-years of his elegant and rather risque work for French society magazine, La Vie Parisienne.
