"This Book commemorates the Service of -" printed on front pastedown not filled in. Hardback / hard cover: dark blue buckram, backstrip with lettering & rules in gilt, front cover with two coats-of-arms in gilt and blindstamped ruled border. Backstrip a little faded. Covers lightly marked, front also a little faded towards inner edge and bumped at upper outer corner. No dust jacket. Flyleaf lightly & patchily soiled over area about 3"x2" adjacent to fore-edge; contents otherwise near fine. VERY GOOD copy. (Heavyweight item, overseas postage at cost.). The Royal Regiment of Artillery, commonly referred to as the Royal Artillery (RA), is the artillery arm of the British Army. Despite its name, it comprises a number of regiments. During World War II there were over 1 million men serving in 960 gunner regiments. Condition: In a blue cloth binding with armorial detail to front board.
