The corners too, are slightly bumped but not peeking. The gilt on the front board is bright; less so on the spine. The text block is tight and clean. In Very Good plus condition. A follow up to the Memoirs of the Rebellion 1745-6 by the James Johnstone, The Chevalier de Johnstone, who was then an aide to Bonnie Prince Charlie. When the rebellion collapsed at the battle of Culloden in 1746, Johnstone managed to escape and make his way to France, but later fought against the English as an aide to the Marquis de Montcalm at the Battle of the Plains of Abraham.
