The photos here are all cropped. Good paperbound. Apparently removed from a bound volume (cover abrasions along left side, as pictured). Cover soil. The center 8 pages have pulled away. ** Includes a photo montage of President woodrow Wilson, who is no longer laughing ("Wilson non ride piu"). Article on Italy's first flying ace, Luigi Olivari. Article on the tragic air battle on the Carso front (photos of 3 aviators and the wrecked plane). Article on the rising young leader Mussolini, with a large photo. Article on the displaced Belgina,s "the new slaves" ("La Nuova Schiavitu"). Photo spread on stars of the equestrian circus. Continuation of a novella by Guido da Verona. Fashion page, "La Moda Italiana," with 2 views of a coat-cloak designed by Adri. Also several other texts and photo features. Many interesting illustrations. There are several appeals to subscribe to the Prestito Nazionale (Italian war bond effort), with full-page illustratrions by A. Zandrino, S. Talman, and others. One page reproduces, in a smaller size, 6 war-bond posters from Russia, France, and England. The double-page centerfold is a dramatic color battle scene by Paul Iribe. There are also 2 pages of photos of the banks where one can buy the bonds. The lithographed cover is by M. Dudovich. The back cover advertises automobile tires by G. Tedeschi. Description de la librairie

I¿ve been selling and appraising GOOD HORSE AND ART BOOKS since 1973, first by mail as Blue Rider Books, and since 1983 in the full-time open shop that I share with H.L. Mendelsohn (whose books are also on ABE). We¿d love to have you visit the second-oldest secondhand bookshop in Cambridge, just outside Harvard Square (open Tuesday-Saturday noon to 6, or by appointment). If you can¿t make it, go to for many (but by no means all) of my books. My inventory of new, used, and rare equestrian books is one of the largest in the U.S., with special depth in Paul Brown, 19th-century books, dressage, and ephemera (paper items). I love to seek out the obscure, the uncommon, and the overlooked. Harvey Mendelsohn and I also offer a room full of out-of-print scholarly titles on the fine and applied arts, especially art history, architecture and planning, book arts, gardens, 20th-century ceramics, photography, and exhibition catalogues. And you¿ll also find some children¿s books, cookbooks, titles in cultural history and philosophy, and other general books. Many of our books never make it online, so if you¿re looking for items you don¿t see here, please phone or e-mail. Then maybe you, too, like hundreds of happy customers over the years, will say, ¿You have it? YOU¿VE MADE MY DAY!¿
