TRANSLATOR'S BIO: The translator, a prominent Icelandic-Canadian clergyman and literary/religious editor, was the editor of the Icelandic-Canadian literary journal, Heimir and he was on the editorial staff of another Icelandic-Canadian periodical, Neisum (Spark), founded in 1904. He co-authored a catechism with his colleague, the prominent clergyman Rognvaldur Petursson that was used in Manitoba's Unitarian churches - see Kristjanson.
