Red decorated boards w/black spine. This book is in poor condition. Shelfwear head and heel, spine split along both edges. All edges are rubbed to boards. Front cover shows a crease from being folded in half. Page 54 has a small closed tear to front margin. The occasional thumb smudge throughout. Text is overall clean and nice, evenly tanned. The most interesting part of this book are the inscriptions, the first by the author: " March 6, 1927 To Philip Hale- In the hopes that he will find this tale of the Fourth Estate sufficiently true to worth sitting on his shelves. With cordial regards, Ben Ames Williams" and then the second from Philip Hale:"To_____ My "dramatic" companion on the Boston Herald with affectionate regards, yours, Philip Hale May 24, 1933".
