SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR (He has printed his name). First Edition , so stated. Edition Limited to 3,000 numbered copies, of which this is Number 727. Very Good+: shows very light wear to the extremities and the mildest rubbing. The binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Not without flaw, but remains structurally sound and tightly bound, showing on the slightest wear: clean, sturdy, and quite presentable. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. Large 4to. 160pp. Profusely illustrated with vintage photographs in black & white. Endpaper Maps. Two folding maps and a reproduction of a locomotive on the 'Argentine' in an envelope laid in. Hardback: Pictorial Paper over Boards. No DJ 'as issued'. A study of Gray's Peake Route, The Argentine Central Railway Company. As usual with Colorado railroad books, there's no shortage of terrific photographs, but the ones here are exceptional, including several wonderful L.C. McClure photos. This road ran eleven miles from Silver Plume to the peak of Mt. McClellan making it the highest railroad in North America at just over 14,000 feet. SIGNED BY AUTHOR. N° de réf. du libraire 45284
