Rainford & Parris Books is currently offering a normal national and international delivery service unaffected by COVID-19. Parris Books is a small family business based on the Hertfordshire / Essex border, close to London Stansted Airport. We are full-time booksellers specialising mainly in Modern First Editions, Children's Books, Illustrated books and Nineteenth Century Literature, as well as assorted fine and interesting books. When describing our books we attempt to list all significant defects to a high degree of precision, so that you can build an accurate idea of their condition. We supplement our description with images and are always happy to provide further images or information. All books are very carefully packaged in a bespoke book-box so that they reach you in the condition described and are insured for their journey.

Books remain the property of Rainford & Parris Books until payment is received in full. Rainford & Parris Books cannot be held responsible if an item is delayed during transit - any claims due to losses incurred due to delay will need to be made to the postal service / courier direct. Orders usually ship within 3 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. All books are placed in a plastic bag, then bubble wrapped and sent out in a new book box (multiple books, folio size and larger may differ). For UK orders, Standard Postage is by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For mail, which we aim to send out within 2 days. The priority rate is for Royal Mail Special Delivery, which we aim to send out within 1 day. For any specific requirement or deadline please do not hesitate to contact us.
For orders outside of the UK we ONLY send via a tracked service, either Royal Mail International Signed For mail, where that service is unavailable, by Royal Mail International Tracked delivery or else DHL (additional remote location charges may apply). Please contact us for a precise quotation.
