A propos de ce titre

Synopsis :

A young man believes his sweetheart and her family are the silliest people in the world until he meets three others who are even sillier.

From School Library Journal:

Kindergarten-Grade 3 Silliness never seems to go out of style with the kindergarten set, so this tale remains a perennial favorite. Hewitt has given the eponymous heroes (and the suitor, who is caught in some foolishness in the illustrations) human eyes, mouths and hair, with porcine snouts, ears and tails. When the suitor goes in quest of three bigger sillies, a world voyage is evoked by a humorous spread spoofing travelers' photos and gimcrack souvenirs. In subsequent stages there are allusions to the 18th-Century Grand Tour, with all the cliched landmarks of Europe crowded onto a page and a signpost directing readers to "Rome/Romania/Romance/Adventure." The earth-toned watercolors are warm and varied, with folk-art borders and vignettes. Hewitt does her best to give a wide and witty scope to the tale, although many of the details are aimed at the knowledgeable adult. Patricia Dooley, formerly at Drexel University, Philadelphia
