A propos de cet article

A single long poem, printed in two colors, followed by an extensive commentary by the author. The poem was inspired by Salvador Dalí's painting, 'The Madonna of Port Lligat.' Chavez uses the painting as a starting point for his religious and scientific meditation. This limited edition, one of five hundred signed and numbered copies, was published at the recommendation of TS Eliot who expressed admiration for the poem. First edition (first printing), signed limited issue. Inscribed by Chavez on the front free endpaper and signed (as usual) on the following blank. A very good copy in the original glassine dust jacket, but lacking the slipcase. N° de réf. du libraire 30181
