Some Press Opinions" following page 366, original red cloth, front and spine panel stamped in black. First edition. Probably a later issue and/or binding. Occult romance concerning two sisters, whose mother was a Highland lass, a Mackenzie, in whose veins ran the blood of ancestral seers and witches, who appear to have paranormal abilities. The novel is set in Ireland and England during World War I. The Easter Rising of 1916 "is vividly described." - Brown and Clarke, Ireland in Fiction 2, p. 174. Bleiler (1978), p. 132. Not in Reginald (1979; 1992). Neat owner's signature on front free endpaper. Front cover stained, small paper adhesion on rear cover, top edge of text block dusty, a sound, good copy. (#151083). Original red cloth, spine stamped in gilt. Small tear to cloth along lower front spine joint; bottom corner of top board bumped affecting first twenty or so pages; touch of discoloration along bottom edge rear board,faint stain to top page ends, light soiling internally, but a solid VG copy of this story set during the Irish rebellion of two sisters who possess psychic abilities.
