Later editions of 21 of the author's numerous novelistic productions, some with the author's prefaces; most editions dated 1897 or 1898 on title pages (few are undated). 24 volumes in all; bound in 3/4 dark green calf over blue-green marbled boards, gilt-stamped and decorated spines with raised bands, matching marbled endpapers and edges. Spines somewhat sunned; slight wear to few covers (particularly at edges and corners); slight shaking to few signatures of few volumes; slight internal browning and/or foxing (chiefly to edges and preliminaries); else a very serviceable (if incomplete) set.
