A first edition of this collection of poems by England's John Masefield (1878-1967). The author was noted for his poetry, his children's novels, and served as England's Poet Laureate from 1930 to 1967. --- In blue cloth-covered boards with gilt image of rooster to cover, with gilt-stamped spine titling; in simple cream dust jacket. --- An excellent copy: clean, tightly-bound and unmarked, though with some foxing and age-toning to leaves.
