Blue boards with Very Bright Gilt titling to the spine. Head/Tail of spine very slightly bumped. In the original publisher's decorated dustjacket. The dustjacket is NOT price clipped, - '3/6d net' still present - although, as usual with Cape, all 4 corners are clipped as issued. The yellow of the dustjacket is fading/discolouring, but all black decoration/titling is clear and bright, but the d/j covers, and particularly the spine of the d/j, are a little faded/discoloured/dusty, and the d/j has some light edgewear, with some VERY slight loss at the corners. The Head/tail of the spine has been reinforced from the inside of the d/j with a brown paper patch, but the d/j is 99% complete and now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks VG. The page fore-edges are dusty. Both front and rear endpapers have some offsetting - light browned blocks, o/w internally the book is VG - NO Inscriptions or marks. 256 pp + 12pp Catalogue, at the end of the book, of 'The Travellers' Library' books published. Overall a Very Clean, Tight and Bright, copy of a quite scarce and attractive edition. No. 56 in 'The Travellers' Library' series. " Account of the author's time spent travelling in South Wales and recounting his impressions of the people and places - Old Sailors; Swansea; Neath; Tintern, etc, etc - , after many years away from his native Wales. William Henry Davies (1871-1940) poet & writer, most famous for spending some of his life wandering as a 'Super-Tramp'." ; The Travellers' Library; Vol. 56; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall 1st Thus (Travellers' Library Edition); First Printing.
