Bio: Russell Hoban (1925-2011) was born in America but found his true home in London, where he lived for the last 42 years of his life. Author of highly acclaimed literary fiction, children's books, genre fiction and non-fiction, he defied all categorisation.
Set in a post-apocalyptic England, RIDDLEY WALKER tells the tale of one twelve year old boy and his journey through the ruins of civilisation. After the death of his father in an accident, Riddley must become a man. But his inquiring mind and strange ways set him apart from his people, and when he discovers a relic of the old time, he sets in motion a chain of events that may well lead to the end of the world (again).

The boards have a little rubbing to the bottom corners. small surface nick near the base of the spine. The page edges are slightly browned with a few light spots in places. Very slight marking to the half-title page, three inch creases to the top corners of pages 35 and 195, the top and bottom corners of page 121 and a two inch crease to the top corner of page 201 and a small stain to page 64 but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked.
