Revue de presse :
'Goddess of sex, love, seduction, beauty and fertility, the universal symbol of our most powerful and precious human emotions. Had Venus and her Greek predecessor Aphrodite not existed for several thousands of years we would have surely thought her a very modern invention. No wonder the Romans built their largest temple in her honour and no wonder this building inspired architects in their quest for the perfect English country house. These houses, in their turn, were filled with images of Venus in stone, plaster, metal and paint: not only because of her symbolic value, but because it was an acceptable way of depicting the naked female form. So to this goddess we owe some of our most sublime artistic creations and, of course, we owe Grace Vane Percy's photographs. These brilliantly juxtapose the female body with monumental architecture in a way that has been familiar since ancient times, but in a medium and with an eye that would have been inconceivable then' --Dr Simon Thurley CBE, Chief Executive, English Heritage
'There is of course a long association of the female nude with country houses in this country, inspired very often by the neoclassical movement and the love of the British for classical sculpture and architecture. It therefore is entirely appropriate that Grace Vane Percy has chosen to photograph some very beautiful women in the setting of some of our finest country houses. Grace has taken enormous care with each photograph which are individual works of art. Every picture seems entirely in keeping with its setting and I congratulate her on an original idea beautifully executed' --Sir William Proby Bt, CBE
