The Amano museum was established in 1963 by Yoshitaro Amano in the capital city of Lima. The purpose of the museum is to display, maintain and study art pieces and scientific documents collected by Amano while studying the archaeology of the Andes over the years. It is a three story building covering 1020 square meters. The building was designed by Amano, and the interior, decorations were by him as well. This well unified and very magnificent building exhibits a huge collection of 30,000 items of cultural significance such as textiles, earthenware, wood-ware, daily tools and personal belongings of the Incas. The collection of dyed textiles of Chancay culture is the best in the world. This museum is not ope to the general public. Condition: Corners bumped.
