Gold title on green leatherette boards with coloured photographic dustjacket. A Fine copy with near Fine dustjacket which is complete and has a crease to front inner flap. Not dated but release date by publisher was 1979. 31 colour and black and white phot illustrations and map endpapers. After many years of research of the dry salt Lake Eyre in Australia the author and her geologist husband witnessed, in 1974, a new face caused by floodwaters which turned it into a proper lake and regenerated the surrounding desert area with lush growth with waterfowl and wildflowers appearing.
