Reseña del editor :

Based on the title of this book, one might get the impression that this could be a preachy or religious in nature. However, it is not intended to be that at all. Rather it is an ‘ideas’ book which is intended to inform the reader and improve their chances for having a successful marriage. How bad can that be? It will, however, go into some detail about what humanity is and how it came about. I suppose each of us had or does aspire to settling down with the perfect mate, and then building a satisfying life together. If this was not or is not your goal, your time might be better spent in reading the sports pages. For those of you who are still with me, I will bring both philosophy and experiences, personal and observed, to this matter in a way that I hope to convince and educate. To put my life experience into some perspective, I am a young person who just happens to be in his seventies, as is my wife. We married late in life (35 and 40), and this is our first and only marriage. It has, as might be expected, had its ups and downs (though not very much of the downside is recent years), but we never considered divorce for as long as one millisecond. This is not because of a deep religious conviction, rather it is because of a philosophy that we both managed to acquire while in our youth... a positive indoctrination. Mark Twain: “Love seems the swiftest, but it is the slowest of all growths. No man or woman really knows what perfect love is until they have been married a quarter of a century.” Both my wife and I can attest to the ‘reality’ that was espoused by Samuel Clemens in the above expression about love. For us It just keeps on getting better as one shared memory is combined with all of the others. While dwelling on memories may sound like something old folks do. Don’t knock it if you haven’t tried it.

Biografía del autor :

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Kip Koehler Kip, though retired, is still an active author, construction consultant, and computer systems engineer. He and his wife Cheri, moved to Prescott AZ in 2002 where they built their custom home. Its highly creative design was subsequently highlighted in the local paper. The home's most unusual features are its “wine cave” and a “New Orleans” rooms. While they both love Prescott and their new friends, they do miss the California ocean, and try to return regularly for a seaside fix. As Cheri puts it: “There is no ocean in Arizona.” Kip’s computer background dates back to working for IBM in the late 60's. He purchased one of the first PCs off of the production line about 1980, and has been addicted to them ever since. Eventually as a consultant he developed financial software for IBM’s clients and then for national sales. Fortunately for Cheri today, he can fix her computer problems rather quickly. Cooking has been a long standing interest with Kip, as reflected in his wide variety of cookbooks. Being somewhat unwilling to do excess work, they mirror that disposition in recipes that focus on easy cooking and clean-up. Another of Kip’s interests is the nature of nature, both scientific and metaphysical. This curiosity is reflected in several of the book offerings. The books and booklets can be purchased for Kindle™ and Nook™ readers at amazon.com and other sites. The 6x9 inch paperback format of the books are available at createspace.com. If you are interested in hiring a freelance writer or editor, I am available by the job or $35 per hour. By the job is $1 per word for a well-defined project. Editing is $.10 per word in Word format.
