There is a hint of browningat the very edge of the cover (see picture on our own site and abe) , but this magazine really deserves a better grade than just vg for surviving in such lovely condition for over 75 years. It contains childrens stories and activities, none of which have been touched, and there is no handwriting inside; ; The Kiddies Magazine; 4to 11" - 13" tall.

Almost very good condition with no wrapper. Pictorial boards and spine. Scene shows children with kites "play-time". Colour frontis, b/w text illustrations. First story is "Crinkley's Lamb". Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Covers a bit faded and grubby. Some evidence of erased pencil markings to front free-endpaper. Some grubby fingermarks and also some light foxing. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!.

The fore-edge of the upper cover has an 0.80 cm tear and the tail corner of the upper cover has a 0.50 cm tear. A very good clean tight copy. 160 gms. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
Printed dedication "To my fellow workers of the WVS (Girlington Hospital Supplies Depot)". Small illustrated booklet. "Here are directions for making several different types, from the usual girl or boy doll, to the gollywog, chinaman, or ciown. Materials are easy to find, even if you have given most of your rags to salvage.". 11cms x 8.5cms. Pp.32, 10 illustrations/patterns. Brown stiff card covers with red title and illustration to front, small 0.5cm tear to lower front edge. Scarce. VG.

Generally clean internally with some light spotting throughout. Spine quite heavily rubbed, with some light general wear to boards. Very good. A delightful and very rare edited volume of fairy stories, poems and games, including fabulous illustrations. Only 2 copies in UK libraries.
