[Spence Watson was the President of the Newcastle Literary and Philosophical Society 1901-1911]. Includes facsimile letter to W E Gladstone. Worn condition. Ex lib. Cover headily rubbed with cracks and loss to upper spine. Content in overall good condition Black hardback cloth cover with leather spine title.

Acland and Rt. Hon. A.H.D. Acland pasted to front pastedown and owner's bookplate on front fep. Not ex-library. Unclipped d/js are faded to the cover edges with several tears.
