Early 19th century, two volume history of the Granada War- a series of military campaigns between 1482 and 1492 during the reign of the Catholic Monarchs, Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon, against the Nasrid dynasty's Emirate of Granada. Both volumes are worn and faded on the outside, 1 volume's front board is detached, minor foxing within the texts, moderate foxing on the endpapers. Ex-Library.

A very acceptable copy of this early edition of the work, 1st published in England by John Murray in 1829 (apprently simultaneously with US publication), this being 2nd UK edition after that, though an 1840 US edition was also issued. Lacking the 4 pp of publishers advertisements called for in volume 1. Cracked to rear board. A worn, "binding copy" of this uncommon work. BAL 10125.
