A fine original colour lithograph from Vanity Fair, a magazine which was published from 1869-1914, featuring a large caricature portrait each week. These were drawn by various artists, the most famous of whom was Leslie Ward who used the 'nom de crayon' of "Spy". This portrait will come mounted/matted and ready to frame using archivist quality materials, mount size 18 x 12 inches, 47 x 31 cms. It will be presented in a cellophane wrapper with our label guaranteeing authenticity. We pack very well, between sheets of hardboard. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase a portrait of the Marquis of Ailesbury, with the caption "Three Dowagers" with biographical details. Ernest Augustus Charles Brudenell-Bruce III, 3rd Marquess of Ailesbury (January 8, 1811 - October 18, 1886) was an English nobleman. He was the second son of Charles Brudenell-Bruce, 1st Marquess of Ailesbury, and was known as Lord Ernest Brudenell-Bruce from 1821 until 1878, when he succeeded his brother.

George William Thomas Brudenell-Bruce, 4th Marquess of Ailesbury (8 June 1863 - 10 April 1894). The son of Lord George John Brudenell-Bruce and Lady Evelyn Mary Craven, he succeeded his grandfather as 4th Marquess on the latter's death on 18 October 1886. On his death in 1894 he was succeeded in the marquessate, and his other titles, by his uncle.
