Edition originale
FIRST EDITION. Ads on e.ps. Orig. red cloth, lettered in gilt; a little darkened & marked. This edition not in BL; Copac lists Cambridge, Oxford, and National Library of Scotland only. A guide to France and the French language, and part of the English tradition of relentless facetiousness about their neighbours (the author's pseudonym means roughly 'Frog of the Frog-Pond'). Nevertheless, the vocabulary appears fairly sound, and the glossary of slang at the end is rather illuminating.
