Notable cracking to hinges, however binding remains firm. Previous owner's inscription to pastedowns and front endpaper. Mild thumb-marking present. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Mild tanning to spine, which has mild crushing and wear to ends. Mild scratching and marking to boards. Book has forward lean.
Etat : Good. Most items will be dispatched the same or the next working day. A slight tan to the page edges. Good condition book. Minor Shelfwear. Re-bound Ex Library book in Good Condition with usual stamps and stickers.

Noticeable cracking to hinges causing boards to come away from text block. Page 15 is detached but still present. Cracking to gutters causing binding to be loose. Pages are lightly tanned with some foxing throughout. Slightly more pronounced to endpapers, pastedowns, and text block edges. Previous owner's inscription to front endpapper. Faint markings to some pages, text remains legible. Boards have noticeable edge wear with corner bumping. Visible tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Small splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Visible black marks with small brown stains to both boards. Book has a slight forward lean.

Claud Anson (1864-1947), who held offices of the High Sheriff and others in County Waterford, Ireland. Features reminiscences of life at the Curraghmore estate. Scarce. G (Title block on outer spine is rubbed; edges of book block and outer pages have some foxing; interior pages of text and plates are clear; front hinge is only a tad loose.).

Lady Clodagh Anson's signature is beneath the frontispiece. Also, bookplate to front pastedown is that of English poet Valentine Ackland (Mary Kathleen Macrory Ackland). Previous bookseller's notations to front endpaper and accompanied by previous owners signature. Good- (boards scuff, scratched & rubbed; dark spotted staining & dampstaining discolorization to upper spine edge/title block. rubbed edge-wear to boards w/ a few indentations. spine darkened; scuffs & rubbing throughout w/ tears & rubbing to ends; edges rubbed & frayed. both hinges cracked; some binding & threads intact; boards rattled. pastedowns & endpapers lightly tanned w/ widespread speckled foxing.).
